Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
1 Peter 2:13-15
We, as Christians, are to submit to the authorities in our lives. The authorities may require something from us that is opposite to the will of God. If the authority asks us to do something opposite to what God asks us to do, then we have the Biblical right to choose to submit to what God asks us to do.
- Lord, show us Your will for our lives.
- Jesus, help me to submit with the right spirit.
What prayer did I see God answer this week?
