During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Hebrews 5:7

Jesus, the Son of God, obeyed what God asked Him to do. He obeyed the will of God and prayed, “not my will be done but thine”(Luke 22:42). Going to the cross to die for our sins was not easy for Him. Sometimes things God asks us to do are not easy. A good choice is to follow the example of servers.

Prayer Focus:

  • Lord, show us Your will for our lives.
  • Jesus, help us to follow Your example of doing the will of God.

Daily question:

How do I want to see the Holy Spirit empower His Church?
